Munich taxi per kilometre or a fixed airport price?
Munich’s per-km taxi tariff versus a fixed price to the airport: what you pay before you book an MUC transfer.

Two different prices
A per-kilometre fare is the city taxi tariff: a starting fee, distance and sometimes waiting time. Those building blocks are listed in the legal notice.
A fixed airport price is the other model. You book a route – home to MUC, for example – and see one amount. It does not climb with a meter on the booked route in normal traffic.
Which number to look at
For the airport, enter your address, choose a vehicle and read the fixed price. A short metered hop in the city follows the tariff, not the airport package.
- Online airport transfer: fixed price before you confirm
- Regular taxi trip: municipal tariff
- The two prices are not mixed in one booking
Quick answers
Does the per-km rate apply to the airport?
Not for an airport transfer booked online. That ride uses the fixed price shown. The per-km rate belongs to the city taxi tariff.
Where is the taxi tariff published?
Tariff lines we display are in the legal notice. Your airport fare is in the booking.
